What Is Your Favorite Travel Destination

That is an impossible question to answer but is equally my most frequently asked! I've had a lot of favorite places around the world over the past few years. But that doesn't mean there aren't some stand out places.

-Italy (Tuscany) will forever have a place in my heart. Good food, an amazing atmosphere, as well as a cultural history that just leaves me in awe.
- Greece was truly amazing. There's no place on earth like it. And though it was often challenging, in hindsight it was probably one of the few destinations that ever had a serious impact on my life philosophy.

-Peru was one of the most surprising countries I've ever visited. I didn't expect to fall in love with the country, but thanks to some amazing travel buddings, some out-of-this-world meals, and a truly humbling experience, Peru will have a place in my heart for the rest of my life.

Are You Ever Afraid to Travel Alone

For my first solo trip, if i'm being honest, I was scared shitless. I went from zero to sixty. From never going on a trip with less than five people surrounding me to hopping on a train and taking a two week, cross-country trip stopping in over ten different cities along the way. But it was an experience I'll never regret. That trip taught me so many things about myself and forced me to face my fears head on.

Why Did You Start TGWW

From an early age I've had three passions in life - Writing, Photography and Travel. Starting The Girl Who Wanders was the perfect way to funnel those passions and share them with the world. As a young, twenty-something woman, I want to encourage others like me who feel like they 1) Can't afford to travel until later in life 2) Tear down the myths surrounding solo travel - especially for women 3) Motivate readers worldwide to experience cultures and countries that test their boundaries. Ultimately, I created this blog to be a creative and fun place not just for me, but for all those who love to wander.

How Do You Afford to Travel

Traveling is more affordable than you might think! Before I broke into this business, I thought that saving every penny I had was the only way to sustain traveling in my spare time. Thankfully, now I know better. There are a lot of tips and tricks you can use to cut the cost of travel - and we're going to go over all of them in future posts!

How Often Are We Going to Hear From You

Well, the official answer is every Tuesday and Thursday, TGWW followers will have a new travel-related post available to read. However, my answer is as much as possible! Thankfully, with The Girl Who Wanders, I've been given a lot of freedom as to how much/how often I want to share content. Also, since this site is a travel/lifestyle blog hybrid, I've been given the green light to write about topics outside of the travel realm. Unlike the T/Th travel blog, the sort of posts you will see in Lifestyle and Other Musings don't have a set schedule. But you can expect at least 1-2 postings per week.
